Creating appointment reminders

Appointments can be made to remind you of when they will occur. These reminders are set through the Inspector panel's Remind display:

All reminders occur at a specified amount of time before the appointment  occurs.  This time can be zero if you want to be reminded when the appointment's time arrives, or it can be any amount of time before the appointment.

There are three types of reminders:

Panel reminders open a panel in the center of the screen and display the title of the appointment, its time, and its description.
Email reminders mail an email message containing the same items as the panel reminders.
Sound reminders simply play a sound; they do not provide any details about the appointment.

To create an appointment reminder:  1 Select the appointment.  2 Select Remind from the Inspector panel's pop-up list.  3 Select the type of reminder you would like by checking the box next to it.  You can have one, two, or all three types active at once.  4 Enter the warning time.  This is how long before the appointment occurs that you will be reminded of it.  You can specify the time in minutes, hours, days, or weeks.  5  For the email reminder, enter the address of the person to whom the email should be sent.  This field defaults to yourself.  6 For the sound field, select the sound file to be played by either pressing the Set button to use an Open panel or by typing the name in the field.  7 Press the Set button to make the changes take effect, or press the Revert button to discard the changes.

Reminders only occur while Chronographer is running.  If a reminder's time passes when Chronographer is not running, the reminder will occur the next time Chronographer is started, unless the appointment's end time has already past.
